The HZI-library is open 24/7.

Service hours:

• search our collection via catalog 
• for literature that is not available on site, please send us an Inter Library Loan/ document delivery request for a book or a copied book chapter/ journal article: You receive the file(s) of the requested paper(s) pursuant to Article 53 Section 1 of the Copyright Act (private/scientific use), i.e. the copies sent to you by us are exclusively for private or some other personal use and must not be disseminated either for payment or free of charge as a hard copy or in an electronic form.
• search relevant information in the databases we licenced (or maintain such as publication database and HZI OpenRepository)
• when you whrite:
  • use a reference management software (e.g. Endnote, Mendeley..)
  • check your manuscript with a Plagiarism Finder (for HZI-members Docoloc is licenced, for details see intranet page "Docoloc", authentification needed)
• when you publish:
  • foster (together with us) OpenAccess
  • follow the suggested approach (e.g. check the journal's/ publisher's conditions)
  • ask us in case of questions or if you need assistance
• use our one of our study rooms/ carrels (see "room for...")
• use our printed journals e.g. in our reading lounge and additional licenced eJournals
• send us an aquisition request if you miss a relevant media item in our collection
• use the library's equipment and technical stuff (see "room for...")
• read our announcements in the News section to stay up to date with developments in library  and (journal/ database) provider/ publisher areas
• ...
